I picked The Balmoral for our wedding and I am so glad I did! I fell in love the moment the doorman saved my mother and I from the sleet storm that was happening outside. He took our coats and sent us for a cup of tea whilst we waited on the Elizabeth, the wedding coordinator. The amazing views up to Edinburgh castle and the fantastic level of friendly customer service were what sold it to me. Everything we asked throughout the entire planning was never too much trouble. The wedding day really was the most amazing day of our lives. The food was amazing! The staff were incredible, Elizabeth the wedding planner was fantastic and Morris the master of ceremonies was the absolute cherry on the top. I wish I could do it all over again! I can not thank all the staff enough really I can’t.

I wanted to let you know how outstanding the whole team at The Balmoral were in hosting our wedding this year. We had a coordinator from London who is used to working with the events team at all the leading London hotels and she says she cannot impress upon us enough how bowled over she was by the attitude and efficiency of your events team. Our guests keep remarking on how wonderful the service was – everything was executed immaculately. But perhaps most of the praise has gone to the food. It was exquisite, and every little adjustment we had asked for had been implemented. Particular thanks have to go to Elizabeth Bell who met all of our demands and concerns with absolute patience and efficiency. With her at the helm, we never worried that things would not be perfect – and they were just that - perfect.

I am writing to thank you and everyone at the Balmoral for the excellent wedding reception my son and daughter-in-law had in your wonderful hotel. The hotel staff were exceptional in their attentiveness and professionalism. I would like to make a special mention about Elizabeth, our wedding co-ordinator in your events team, who from the beginning worked patiently with Jonathan and Hannah to bring about the wedding reception of their dreams. Her advice and guidance were invaluable and we were confident that our requests were being taken on board and listened to all the way through the planning stages, in the event this proved to be the case. A special mention must also go to the chef and the kitchen, the food was excellent and everyone commented on how delicious it was. As you will have ascertained by now the whole day was a resounding success, a truly memorable one that everyone who was there is talking about. The bride, groom, I and our guests were very impressed with the whole experience and this was due in no small part to the professionalism of your staff and your beautiful hotel.

From the moment we set foot in the grand surroundings of the Balmoral everything was taken care of. On the Big Day itself we were smoothly guided through the day by Balmoral wedding specialists, who thought of every little detail and left nothing to chance. The tireless behind the scenes staff made everything seem effortless so that we could relax and enjoy our day. We would like to specially highlight the hotel's stunning location - we had a view of Edinburgh castle from our reception room! It was a day we will never forget.

We are delighted that The Balmoral was chosen for our daughter and son in laws wedding ceremony and reception. The help and guidance of Elizabeth Bell the wedding planner was first class. Elizabeth made sure that everything went smoothly in the months before the wedding and on the day. The hotel service was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful. Many of the guests travelled from foreign shores and were completely enchanted with the Scottish hospitality and the whisky of course! The whole day was perfectly organised, the piper was amazing, the Master of Ceremonies was worth his weight in gold, keeping everything on schedule and even reciting the Selkirk grace before a wonderful meal lovingly prepared by the Chef and his staff. The Balmoral is fabulous, elegant, refined and the perfect venue for a perfect wedding day. Our thanks go to everyone at the Balmoral from front of house to the behind the scenes staff.

I am writing to thank you, on behalf of my husband and I, for the wonderful treatment we have received from The Balmoral over the past year. We married in your Holyrood Suite last May, and I can honestly say it was the most wonderful day of my life. The entire experience was amazing. Elizabeth Bell was impeccable in her role, under her watchful eye everything ran smoothly, and the day passed without a moment of stress. Everyone had a brilliant time, and remarked on what a beautiful hotel the Balmoral is, and how friendly, accommodating and helpful all of your staff were. We really wanted to thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and to let you know how much we appreciate the kindness and amazing customer service you have treated us with. The Balmoral will always be a special place in our hearts.
