Dining at The Balmoral

The spacious and comfortable surroundings have stunning features including golden-velvet banquettes and rich-red lacquered walls shipped from Hong Kong creating a sophisticated ambience, and the knowledgeable staff ensures a truly memorable dining experience.

Hadrian's is the Balmoral's chic and stylish Brasserie which serves delicious cuisine in an informal ambience. Executive Chef Jeff Bland has created a cosmopolitan menu offering a mix of Scottish dishes and innovative international cuisine, using only the best of seasonal and regional products. The cuisine has a strong international influence with a classic Scottish twist.

An a la carte menu is available in addition to a two-course seasonal menu and our younger diners are also catered for with Hadrian's fabulous children's menu. Hadrian's is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Bollinger Bar at Palm Court is Scotland’s only Bollinger Bar and features a sparkling glass dome and stunning Venetian glass chandelier. Home to the Balmoral’s award-winning Afternoon Tea, Palm Court is open from 9am until midnight offering a wide selection of loose leaf teas, coffee and pastries. The Bollinger Bar at Palm Court also offers an extensive range of single malt whiskies and vintage champagne in addition to innovative cocktails.

The Balmoral Bar is Edinburgh's most elegant and stylish bar, located at Edinburgh's most prestigious address. With plush purple velvet and vibrant moss-green leather chairs and banquettes, the modern surroundings coupled with chilled-out background music, makes for the perfect lounging experience.  The focus of the bar menu is on originality and classics, with a twist.  The cocktails are shaken and stirred to perfection, using only the finest ingredients.
